Forestry NSW and how it builds green cover

Forestry NSW introduction

Forestry is a vital part of the environmental protection system in the world. It is the system where government and organization come together to protect the environment and carefully manage the limited forest resources we have on earth. The Forestry NSW council is one such body.

These bodies help restore damaged forests and create an incentive for ordinary citizens to take part in campaigns to plant trees and regenerate forests by providing money through grants.

Forestry NSW work

Forestry NSW, is one of the largest managers of forests in Australia. It manages huge swathes of native and plantation forests in the country. It manages the timber industry and safe and sustainable ways so that the forest resources can become a renewable resource and keep them safe from forest fires and any problems that might plague them. Forestry NSW also helps keep the balance between recreational opportunities for citizens and the harmony of forest life. The group also uses plantation activities to make sure that whatever timber is being used up is being replaced so that it does not deplete all of the forest reserves. It harvests mainly plantation wood now, so that native forests remain undisturbed and preserved. These activities by the council help in the protection of the environment, but also help the business community in gaining wood for their business purposes while maintaining a sustainable supply. This is helping Australia’s economy as well as their natural resource supply.
