Using much supplies NSW and wood chips in your vegetable garden

With mulch supplies NSW and wood chips you will simply be introducing organic material back to the soil. Mulch slowly breaks down and adds nutrients to the soil. It also helps in insulating plants in a cold weather. Mulch also helps to lock the moisture into the soil, which reduces the requirement for frequent watering. If you use mulch with certain plants like tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, etc. you can be assured that the fruit will rest on a thick mat of mulch instead of falling to the ground. This will prevent the vegetables from rotting that usually happens when they fall on the ground.

Mulch supplies NSW is also very effective in controlling the growth of weeds. Also keep in mind that you don’t have to make the pile of mulch too thick as a layer of 2”-4” is sufficient. It is a good idea to use mulch with vine plants like cucumber, zucchini, pumpkins, etc., because they are very difficult to weed once they start spreading their vines and fruit from these plants always falls to the ground. It is not a good idea to use mulch everywhere in your garden though. Simply using it in certain areas like around vine plants is sufficient. If you use mulch everywhere the soil will become difficult to row and work with.

The thing that you need to keep in mind while using mulch and wood chips is that you should keep them away from your home or other structures that contain wood. This is because the wood chips can attract termites and spread them to other places. It is a good idea to compost a pile of raw wood chips for a couple of weeks to kill the termites.
